The Story Cat and Rat a Sworn Enemy

Long time ago, there lived the king of Calabar for fifty years. He had a very faithful cat as a housekeeper, and a rat was his house-boy. The king was an obstinate, headstrong man, but was very fond of the cat, who had been in his store for many years.

The rat, who was very poor, fell in love with one of the king’s servant girls, but was unable to give her any presents, as he had no money. At last he thought of the king’s store, so in the night-time, being quite small, he had little difficulty, having made a hole in the roof, in getting into the store. He then stole corn and native pears, and presented them to his sweetheart.

At the end of the month, when the cat had to render her account of the things in the store to the king, it was found that a lot of corn and native pears were missing. The king was very angry at this, and asked the cat for an explanation. But the cat could not account for the loss, until one of her friends told her that the rat had been stealing the corn and giving it to the girl.

When the cat told the king, he called the girl before him and had her flogged. The rat he handed over to the cat to deal with, and dismissed them both from his service. The cat was so angry at this that she hunted and ate the rat, and ever since that time whenever a cat sees a rat she would hunt and eat rat.

My Preparation for CAMPRT SMAN 3 Bandung

Hello everyone!

In this blog i’m gonna tell you about my plan to CAMPRT SMAN 3 Bandung. This event will be held tomorrow! By the way CAMPRT is abbreviation of Camping Pramuka Tiga. This is the one of camping events in SMAN 3 Bandung. Now let me tell you about my preparation for CAMPRT.

CAMPRT will be held for 2 days and 1 night on Bumi Kiara Payung, Jatinangor. This event held from 10^th December until 11^th December 2016. At first, my school held technical meeting in our school auditorium on Saturday, 3^rd December 2016. In this technical meeting we have divided into several group  for camping tomorrow. After technical meeting done, me and my group discussed all about things that we bring for camping. Not only that, from this technical meeting we’ve got information that in CAMPRT will be held cooking competition. So, me and my group discussed about food that we’ll make for tomorrow too.

The day before camping will be held, i prepared all of things that i will bring. Me and my friend went to supermarket for buy foods and snacks. Not only that, my mother buy stick scout and backpack for me. In the evening, I will pack all of my clothes but I’m still confuse about things that I will bring. I’m still waiting for another information from committee. My daddy said that I have to bring jacket because at Kiara Payung would be quite cold during the night. Besides that, I have go to sleep early because tomorrow I have to wake up earliest. Although it’s not my first experience for camping, but I hope it’s gonna be amazing camping for me.

Persian Cat

The Persian cat is a long-haired breed of cat characterized by its round face and short muzzle. In Britain, it is sometimes called the Longhair or Persian Longhair. It is also known as the Shirazi cat or Iranian cat, particularly in the Middle East. The first documented ancestors of the Persian were imported into Europe from Iran (Persia) around 1620. Recognized by the cat fancy since the late 19th century, it was developed first by the English, and then mainly by American breeders after the Second World War. Some cat fancier organizations' breed standars subsume the Himalayan and Exotic shorthair as variants of this breed, while others treat them as separate breeds.

The Persian is the most popular pedigreed cat in North America, if not the world. He first came into vogue during the Victorian era, but he existed long before then. Little is known about his early history, though.

The Persian comes in two types: show and traditional. The show Persian has a round head enhanced with a thick ruff, small ears, a flat nose, big round copper eyes, a broad, short body with heavy boning atop short tree-trunk legs, and a thick, flowing plume of a tail. The traditional Persian, also known as the Doll Face, does not have the extreme features of the show Persian, and his nose is a normal length, giving him a sweet expression. Both types have a long, glamorous coat that comes in many colors and patterns, and both share the same wonderful personality.

The Persian’s sweet, gentle face turns up to gaze at his favorite people the way a pansy turns its face to the sun. He communicates with his expressive eyes and his soft, melodious voice. The Persian is the epitome of a lap cat, with a restful and undemanding personality. He loves to cuddle, but he’s also playful and curious. He’s not a jumper or climber, instead posing beautifully on a chair or sofa or playing with a favorite feather toy. Persians prefer a serene, predictable environment, but they can be adaptable enough to weather a loud, boisterous family as long as their needs are understood and met. 



Most people carry an image of a white Persian in their heads, but the Persian comes in numerous striking colors and patterns. The long, flowing coat must be combed daily to prevent or remove mats and tangles. The Persian needs regular baths to stay clean and sweet-smelling. Introduce a kitten to bathing as soon as you bring him home so he will hopefully learn to accept it readily.

A show-quality Persian has an extremely long and thick coat, short legs, a wide head with the ears set far apart, large eyes, and an extremely shortened muzzle. The breed was originally established with a short muzzle, but over time, this characteristic has become extremely exaggerated, particularly in North America. Persian cats can have virtually any color or markings.

The Persian is generally described as a quiet cat. Typically placid in nature, it adapts quite well to apartment life. Himalayans tend to be more active due to the influence of Siamese traits. In a study comparing cat owner perceptions of their cats, Persians rated higher than non-pedigree cats on closeness and affection to owners, friendliness towards strangers, cleanliness, predictability, vocalization, and fussiness over food

There is variants of Persian cat : 

Himalayan

In 1950, the Siamese was crossed with the Persian to create a breed with the body type of the Persian but colorpoint pattern of the Siamese. It was named Himalayan, after other colorpoint animals such as the Himalayan rabbit. In the UK, the breed was recognized as the Colorpoint Longhair. The Himalayan stood as a separate breed in the US until 1984, when the CFA merged it with the Persian, to the objection of the breed councils of both breeds. Some Persian breeders were unhappy with the introduction of this crossbreed into their "pure" Persian lines.

Exotic Shorthair

The Persian was used as an outcross secretly by some American Shorthair (ASH) breeders in the late 1950s to "improve" their breed. The crossbreed look gained recognition in the show ring but other breeders unhappy with the changes successfully pushed for new breed standards that would disqualify ASH that showed signs of crossbreeding.

Toy and teacup sizes

 A number of breeders produce small-statured Persians under a variety of names. The generic terms are "toy" and "teacup" Persians (terms borrowed from the dog fancy), but the individual lines are often called "palm-sized", "pocket", "mini" and "pixie". Currently, they are not recognized as a separate breed by major registries and each breeder sets their own standards for size.

Chinchilla Longhair and Sterling

 (SACC) registers cats with five generations of purebred Chinchilla as a Chinchilla Longhair. The Chinchilla Longhair has a slightly longer nose than the Persian, resulting in healthy breathing and less eye tearing. Its hair is translucent with only the tips carrying black pigment, a feature that gets lost when out-crossed to other colored Persians. Out-crossing also may result in losing nose and lip liner, which is a fault in the Chinchilla Longhair breed standard. One of the distinctions of this breed is the blue-green or green eye color only with kittens having blue or blue-purple eye color.

Few interesting facts:

• As any Persian cat owner can attest, owning one of these cats doesn’t come easily. Grooming is a major requirement for a Persian, and requires daily attention to keep them looking fresh and tangle-free. To manage all that fur, some Persian owners opt to keep their cat’s hair short for less routine maintenance.
• Due to their ability to be inactive for long periods of time, the Persian breed rightfully owned the nickname “furniture with fur” due to their inherent laziness. Although many Persians can be lovable and playful at times, they are not a hyperactive breed by any means. Looking that good must require lots of beauty sleep. The plus side is that this breed makes the ultimate lap kitty companion.
• A Persian is the perfect cat breed for anyone that might be worried about their cat running amuck and destroying their home while they are away. Not overly curious or adventurous by nature, the Persian is trustworthy in that it won’t be caught shredding your curtains or sabotaging other things inside your home. This breed is calm and quiet and if it wasn’t for all that fur, you might not even notice they are there half the time with their kitty manners always intact.
• Persians tend to be a bit shy and this breed does not do well with loud noises or lots of disruption in the home. Kids have a tendency for being unpredictable at times and a home with small children may not be the ideal environment for this cat breed that is a bit reclusive and shy.
• The Persian has a sweet, gentle personality and is a quiet companion.
• The Persian has a long, flowing coat that must be groomed daily.
• The Persian is an old breed, but little is known of its history.

Maldives Island

Maldives is one of the place in the world that I really want to visit. Because it's an interesting place and it's always been my dream to go there and i hope that i can go there someday. So, I will tell you about this amazing place.

The Maldives, a tropical paradise of pristine beaches, are an archipelago of 1,192 coral islands grouped into 26 coral atolls (200 inhabited islands, plus 80 islands with tourist resorts) in the Indian Ocean. They lie south-southwest of India and are considered part of Southern Asia. 

Tourism is the largest economic industry in the Maldives. A tourist resort in the Maldives consists of an exclusive hotel on its own island, with its population entirely based on tourists and work force, with no local people or houses. These islands developed for tourism are approximately 800 by 200 metres in size and are composed of sand and coral to a maximum height of about 2 metres above the sea. In addition to its beach encircling the island, each island has its own "house reef" which serves as a coral garden and natural aquarium for scuba divers and snorkelers. The shallow water enclosed by the house reef also serves as a large natural swimming pool and protects swimmers from the ocean waves and strong tidal currents outside the house reef. 

The Maldives is renowned for its incredible diving opportunities. The crystal clear water and shallow lagoons are perfect for snorkelling, while the reef walls offer a kaleidoscope of sea life for more experienced divers. The Maldives have an amazing diversity of sea life, with corals and over 2000 species of fish, ranging from reef fish and reef sharks to moray eels, rays and whale sharks. The island's many sheltered lagoons also provide the perfect destination to enjoy an adventure-filled family holiday or romantic getaway for two.

The local culture features a lively mix of South Indian, Sinhalese and Arab influences that is reflected in the traditional music, cuisine and art of the island.

In Maldives there are three main ways to move around: by domestic flight, by seaplane or by boat. For several years there were two seaplanes companies operating: TMA, Trans Maldivian Airways, and Maldivian Air Taxi, but these merged in 2013 under the name TMA. The seaplane fleet is entirely made up of DHC-6 "Twin Otters." There is also another airline, flyMe, which operates using ATRs to domestic airports, principally Maamagili and some others. The typical Maldivian boat is called dhoni. Depending on the distance of the destination island to the airport, resorts organise domestic flight plus boat transfers, seaplane flights directly to the resort island jetty, or speedboat trips for their guests. There are also locally run ferries by large dhoni boats. Speedboats and seaplanes tend to be more expensive, while travel by dhoni, although longer, is relatively cheaper and convenient.

This blog make me feel that i have to realize my dream. I really want to visit this place. Hopefully, one day my dreams could come true! So, this is all for Maldives Island, I'll see you in the next blog!

My name is Aliesha Nur Azzahra and most people call me Aliesha. I was born in Bandung, 9th March 2001. I'm a student at SMA Negeri 3 Bandung and before i was studied at SMP Negeri 5 Bandung. I live in Bandung at Pangkur Street with my parents, my brother, and my cats. My father is a private employees and my mother is a government employees at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. I have one brother from my parents. In my house, i have a lot of cats. They are so cute, but sometimes they annoy me. I have many hobbies, but there is one that i like the most and that is eating snacks in the evening. I have a bad hobbies too, and that is playing handphone for a long time.
